These terms and conditions govern the sale of all courses and services offered by ESS Anzère.

Group and private lessons

Students are divided according to their actual level depending on tests carried out on the slopes by our instructors.
A minimum of 4 people is required to open a group course.
It is the responsibility of the clients to provide ESS Anzère with exact information about their identities, abilities and levels so that ESS Anzère can advise them and register them in the services that suit them. ESS Anzère cannot be held responsible if, as a result of inaccurate information, a client is unable to follow the activity.

Swiss Snow League test medals are included in the price of the week of group and private lessons (minimum 8 hours). For any shorter duration, it is possible to buy the medals at the ESS Anzère office.

Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children and strongly recommended for adults.
For all Freestyle or Freeride courses, a helmet is compulsory and back protection is required.
For safety reasons, all our students must be adequately equipped for the practice of snow sports (gloves, hats, jackets, ski trousers).
The equipment (ski, snowboard...) must be in good condition and adjusted by a professional.
ESS Anzère reserves the right to accept or reject students who do not comply with these rules.
Ski lift passes and equipment hire are not included in the price of our lessons. (Children ski free of charge up to the age of 6 years old. The carpet in the village square is free for all).
The Swiss Ski and Snowboard School of Anzère declines all responsibility in the event of an accident.
By booking a lesson with the Swiss Ski and Snowboard School of Anzère, you accept that you or your children may be filmed or photographed.

Rates

Our rates in Swiss francs are valid. Any other indication in a foreign currency is for information purposes only and does not commit the Swiss Ski and Snowboard School of Anzère in any way.
The lessons take place in all weathers. Weather conditions are in no way a cause for cancellation or postponement as long as the activity is provided by the Swiss Ski School of Anzère. There will be no refund, postponement or compensation.
The information provided by our students will only be used for the exclusive use of ESS Anzère and will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. ESS Anzère may use this data for commercial purposes (sending advertising, mailing) unless otherwise requested in writing by the student. The data of ESS Anzère's clients remains for the use of ESS Anzère and will not be passed on to third parties. ESS Anzère undertakes to send a reasonable number of advertisements to its clients.
Cancellation, refund and postponement: Only the information on the course tickets is valid. They are valid only for the dates, times and services indicated. In the event of the student's absence at the start of the course, the price of the course will not be refunded and the course will not be exchanged for another one.
If the student cancels the service more than 15 days before the date of the first service, the service will be fully reimbursed. In any case, the Swiss Ski and Snowboard School of Anzère retains 5% to cover the financial costs. If the student cancels during the 15 days preceding the lesson, 20% of the total amount of the booking will be retained by ESS Anzère as booking fees. All cancellations made within 7 days of the course will not be refunded. Postponements are accepted only if requested 72 hours before the start of the event depending on the availability of the instructors. In case of reimbursement of a course, ESS Anzère has 45 days to make the reimbursement. Refunds are made by bank transfer.

Insurance “ESS-Protect”

"ESS-Protect" is an insurance policy offered to clients in order to insure the courses purchased from ESS Anzère in the event of accident, illness or when the courses do not take place due to the closure of the ski area or the closure of ski lift installations.

Insurer

The insurer is ESS Anzère, which offers an insurance service under the brand name "ESS-Protect".

Policyholder

The policyholder is a person who has booked or purchased courses from ESS Anzère and has taken out "ESS-Protect" insurance.

Insured benefits

"ESS-Protect" only provides courses booked or purchased from ESS Anzère.

Amount of premium

CHF 5.- per day per person

Validity of the insurance

The insurance is valid from the moment of purchase and more precisely during the period of the course days purchased at ESS Anzère. ESS-Protect" only covers the insured person's courses.

Purpose of the contract

The insurer guarantees reimbursement on a pro-rata basis or the replacement of missed courses according to the conditions of the insurance below.

Terms and conditions of insurance

"ESS-Protect" will provide the above mentioned services in the following situations

  • In the event of an accident of the insured person and only on presentation of a medical certificate.
  • In the event of illness of the insured person, on presentation of a medical certificate issued during the period of validity of the insurance.
  • In case of complete closure of the ski area.
  • In the event of a partial closure of the ski area and only if it is not possible for the insurer to relocate the course (time and place).

Refunds

Pro rata temporis reimbursement or replacement of courses is to be made directly to the ESS Anzère office during the insured person's stay in Anzère. Only cases of illness or accident that do not allow the insured person or his/her family to travel can be settled later by post or email.

Legal basis

This contract is subject to Swiss law and the place of jurisdiction is in Sion. In addition, the provisions of the Swiss Federal Law on Insurance Contracts (LCA) and the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) are applicable.

Exclusions from coverage

All other situations than those mentioned under point 7.
Use of drugs, narcotics, medicines not prescribed by a doctor.
Drunkenness, intentional acts and dols, conscious disregard of official prohibitions. Suicide, attempted suicide or self-mutilation.

  • Our passes are only refundable if 100% of the lifts are closed.

Exceptional situation : COVID-19

In case of exceptional closure of the ski area or in the inability to offer services due to COVID-19, the reimbursement will be made. An amount of CHF. 10.- will be deducted for administrative costs.
