Questions?

How do I know which level I should enroll my child in?

If your child followed the Swiss Snow League and has been marked "ready for the next level" please register him/her for the next level. If in doubt, please let our instructors or our head of class know. In all cases, we carry out a test at the beginning of the week to ensure that the levels are as homogenous as possible. If your child has not followed the Swiss Snow League, you can see the different levels on our page my level (link to be added once the page exists).

Where are the meeting points located?

Private Lesson:

At the red “meeting point” inflatable, in front of the ski school container.

Group Lessons:

- Kids Village:  Look for the little, red “meeting point” inflatable at the start of the carpet in the Snow Garden
- Blue League: Look for the blue inflatable and flags at the start of the hand lift on the side of the Snow Garden
- Red League: Go to the “Djeu Des Tetes” T-bar lift and look for the red inflatable and flags next to it
- Black League: Go to the “Djeu Des Tetes” T-bar lift and look for the black flag next to it
What is the difference between a private and a group lesson?

In private lessons, the instructor solely focuses on you, so you quickly benefit from very precise advice for your individual needs. These lessons can therefore be more intense.

In group lessons, attention is given to the whole class, so you benefit from the group spirit and atmosphere.

Is there a medal at the end of the course? How is the evaluation done?

From 3 days of group lessons or on request from 5 hours of private lessons, a medal is awarded to each participant according to their technical level of skiing/snowboarding. The level of the medal received is evaluated over the entire week and awarded according to the required criteria. The instructors are always available to talk about the medals and their requirements.

Are poles required for my child?

In the Snow Garden and in Blue Prince/cess, children ski without poles. From the Blue King level upwards poles are required for the lessons. If in doubt, check with the Instructor according to his programme.

Which lift pass is best for which course?

For the Snow Garden, no lift pass is required.

For the Blue League, Prince/cess level, no lift pass is required.

For the Blue King/Queen and Blue Star, Red Prince/cess levels, we recommend a Torgon-La Chappelle lift pass.

For the Red King/Queen and Red Star, we recommend a Torgon-La Chappelle lift pass.

For the Black League, we recommend a Espace Liberté lift pass to enjoy our extensive Franco-Swiss domain.

Swiss domain or Portes du Soleil passes can be purchased online or at the bottom of the Tronchey chairlift in Plan de Croix.

Is the equipment included in the price of the lesson?

The material is not included in the lesson price. Our partner store La Glisse Sports and their staff will be happy to help you.

They can offer you a discount rate on the daily/weekly rental on the presentation of a lesson ticket from the Ski and Snowboard School.

What equipment is required?

The basic equipment required includes skis/snowboard, boots and poles. Helmet, appropriate goggles and warm gloves/mittens are mandatory for all children's lessons. Dress your children according to the weather of the day and please don't forget the sun cream and lip balm!
