  • Prices

    Our prices only concern the services offered by the Swiss Ski & Snowboard School of Thyon - Les Collons - Hérémence (hereinafter: "ESS"):

    • Ski passes, lift passes or travel expenses are not included in our prices.

    • For all persons over 6 years of age, a Thyon - Les Collons ski pass (ski lift ticket) (minimum sector "Printse") is mandatory for participation in the lessons.

    • For all children aged 6 and under, the Thyon - Les Collons ski lift pass is free of charge but you must be in possession of the ski lift ticket to take part in the lessons.

    The rental / loan of equipment is not included in our prices.

    No accident insurance is included in our services. However, a cancellation insurance "ESS Cours Protect" is offered.

  • Insurance

    ESS accepts no responsibility for accidents before, during and after teaching, mountain climbing, competitions or any other activities organised by ESS. Participants in lessons or activities provided by ESS are not covered by ESS insurance. It is the responsibility of each participant to insure themselves against the risks inherent in such activities.

    ESS offers "ESS Cours Protect" insurance to customers to cover lessons purchased from ESS Thyon-Les Collons-Hérémence in the event of accident, illness or when lessons are not held due to a complete closure of the ski area.   • Registration/booking

    For group lessons

    • A specific instructor cannot be guaranteed for any of the lessons or levels.

    • Group lessons start on Sunday or Monday; the following days must always be consecutive, they cannot be moved or postponed.

    • A medal and a Swiss Ski School evaluation booklet can be given to the participant after the 4th day.

    For private lessons or other activities

    • The booking of a specific instructor cannot be guaranteed. The ESS reserves the right to change the assignment of the lesson to a ski instructor until the start of the lesson.

    • A medal and a Swiss Ski School evaluation booklet can be given to the participant after the 6th hour of the private lesson.

  • Cancellation/Refund

    Any activity cancelled less than 72 hours in advance is due and payable, no refund will be made unless the customer has taken out "ESS Cours Protect" insurance.

    Cancellations received prior to 72 hours' notice shall be refunded less a handling fee of CHF 50.00.

    Any services not used, late or otherwise, shall remain due and cannot be refunded.

  • Lesson

    The instructor is not obligated to wait for latecomers, and the duration of the delay cannot be added to the lesson.

    Groups are made up of 4 to 10 participants. In high season, the maximum number of participants may exceptionally be 12.

    In the event that lessons do not reach the minimum number of participants, the ESS may, without further notice:

    • Adjoin / group participants in a higher or lower level.

    • Move the lesson in time.

    • Reduce the duration of the lessons.

    • Offer an alternative with private lessons.

    • Cancel the lesson.

    If the client's technical level does not match the level of the chosen lesson, the ESS reserves the right to change the client's lesson to a level that does match the client's level, subject to availability of places. Instructors are the only judges of the level. The client will not be entitled to any refund, postponement or compensation.

    The duration of the private lessons is the one indicated on the reservation less 10 minutes.

    Depending on waiting times at the lifts, lessons may end slightly earlier or later.

    Custom: It is customary for clients to pay for the instructor(s) meal when booking a day's lessons (private).

  • Other

    The ESS reserves the right to use any photographs or videos that may be taken during its lessons or activities. Anyone wishing to exercise their rights may do so in accordance with the terms of the Federal Data Protection Law.

    The wearing of a helmet is strongly recommended.

    For Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding the wearing of protective gear (helmet, back protector, wrist protector, ...) is strongly recommended.

    The client is responsible for his equipment. The adjustment of the equipment must be done by approved personnel and in adapted structures. An inability to follow or continue the lesson due to the failure of the client's equipment will not allow for any replacement, postponement or refund of the lesson. The instructor is not authorised to adjust the client's equipment.

The earlier the better! In order to be sure to have space on the desired date, remember to book as soon as possible. In high season some of our offers sell out very quickly.
