The pleasure of skiing in a group!

Children 6 to 16 years old

Group lessons offer you a ski instructor for a whole week, a stimulating group atmosphere and a beautiful ski area to explore.

Each day, for 2.45 hours, your children will be able to work on different objectives in order to perfect their skiing technique.

These lessons are open to all levels, from beginners to experts.

By choosing this product, you will learn both skiing and snowboarding in group lessons.

The morning is dedicated to skiing, and the afternoon to snowboarding.

Improve in both disciplines and aim for the Bronze Track, then the Silver Track, and finally the ultimate title of ski & snowboard champion: the GOLD TRACK!

Group Lesson Information – Children aged 6 to 16

Ski pass and equipment

Attention!!! All children taking part in ski lessons must be in possession of a valid ski pass!

The ski pass and the equipment are not included in the price of the course.

Wearing a helmet is compulsory !

Lessons

Group of 4 to 10 children. In high season, groups of up to 12 children can be accommodated.

In high season, groups of up to 12 children can be accommodated.

A medal and a booklet are included in the price of the lesson.

Group classes are held from Sunday to Friday.

Group lessons with fewer than 4 children may be shortened or converted into private lessons.

Before the class

Pick up your course ticket and race number at our main office in Thyon 2000

A deposit of CHF 20.00 will be required when you pick up your number. This will be returned to you when you pick up your number

Giant Slalom

A timed giant slalom will be held every Thursday afternoon in high season* on the Muraz piste for Red and Black levels.

A  mini-giant slalom will be set out every Friday in high season* on the Picolo track for the Blue levels.

The ESS reserves the right to cancel the timed race or the mini giant slalom if there are not enough students enrolled in group lessons or if the weather conditions do not allow us to guarantee the safety of the participants!

Lunch time

Applies to children’s group lessons and double-discipline group lessons

The children have lunch in a restaurant and are looked after by a ski instructor.

The instructor collects the children at the end of the group lessons and brings them back to the meeting point by 1.30 pm, i.e. for the start of the afternoon lessons.

Lunch is available from Sunday to Friday.

Price: CHF 23.00 per day.

Insurance "ESS Cours Protect"

" ESS Cours Protect " is an insurance offered to clients in order to insure the lessons purchased from ESS Thyon-Les Collons-Hérémence in case of accident, illness, when the lessons cannot take place due to the complete closure of the ski area or in case of restrictions due to coronavirus that prevent the client from coming: border closures or quarantine in Switzerland or in the client's coun-try following the client's stay in the region.

The cost of this insurance is CHF 5.- per day and per person. This insurance is available during your "on line booking" or at our desks.

Questions?

What equipment is needed ?

It is advisable to provide your children with equipment adapted to the weather conditions.
Ski goggles, gloves and sun cream will protect them from the cold and the sun. Wearing a helmet is highly recommended.
It is imperative to have a pair of adjusted skis, ski boots and poles.

Where is the meeting point ?

The meeting place for groups of 6 to 16 year olds is in Thyon 2000, on the place in front of the building complex, at the bottom of the slopes.

Can my children be in the same class ?

Yes, but it will depend on their level. If your children are registered in the same level, they can be in the same group. To be sure, you can write this down in the remarks section when you make your reservation, but above all you can remind the teachers of that level on the first day of the lesson.

In which level should we register our child ?

Group lessons from 6 to 16 years old are divided into 3 Leagues: Blue League (Beginner), Red League (Advanced), Black League (Expert). The latter are divided into 3 levels: Prince/Princess, King/Queen, Star. The Black League has one level: Black Prince. After this level, your children can register in the Swiss Snow Academy.
